Jurnalista.Id, Makassar — Pemerintah Kota Makassar melakukan penertiban pedagang kaki lima (PK5) di kawasan sekitar SMK Negeri 4 Makassar, Kecamatan Bontoala, Kamis (23/4/2026). Penertiban ini menyasar bangunan dan aktivitas pedagang yang tidak sesuai dengan Peraturan Daerah (Perda).
Camat Bontoala, Patahulla, menyampaikan bahwa penertiban dilakukan secara terukur dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi di lapangan. Awalnya, pemerintah merencanakan pengerahan sekitar 1.000 personel, namun jumlah tersebut dikurangi menjadi sekitar 500 personel karena situasi dinilai kondusif.
“Setelah melihat kondisi di lapangan, kami nilai tidak perlu sampai 1.000 personel. Cukup sekitar 500 personel yang diturunkan,” ujarnya.
Ia menjelaskan, personel yang terlibat berasal dari berbagai unsur, termasuk SKPD Pemerintah Kota Makassar, TNI/Polri, Satpol PP, Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran, Dinas Perhubungan, Dinas Kesehatan, dan Dinas Sosial.
Menurut Patahulla, penertiban ini juga mendapat dukungan dari Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, mengingat lokasi yang ditertibkan merupakan aset milik pemerintah provinsi. Oleh karena itu, Satpol PP Provinsi turut dilibatkan dalam proses pengamanan.
Selain itu, pemerintah mengerahkan tiga unit alat berat serta armada mobil dan truk yang dibantu oleh sejumlah kecamatan, di antaranya Kecamatan Wajo, Makassar, Tallo, dan Ujung Tanah.
Untuk penanganan pasca-penertiban, tenaga kebersihan dari lima kecamatan juga dikerahkan, dengan total sekitar 250 personel.
Patahulla menegaskan, penertiban ini ditargetkan dapat diselesaikan dalam satu hari, dengan tetap mengedepankan pendekatan persuasif serta menjaga situasi tetap aman dan kondusif.
