JURNALISTA.ID, MAKASSAR — Pemerintah Kota Makassar kembali menunjukkan komitmennya dalam menata ruang publik. Kali ini, Pemerintah Kecamatan Bontoala melakukan penertiban terhadap lapak Pedagang Kaki Lima (PKL) penjual kambing di wilayah Kelurahan Bontoala, Kecamatan Bontoala, Jumat (30/1/2026).
Berdasarkan pantauan di lokasi, penertiban dilakukan secara edukatif dan persuasif tanpa tindakan represif. Sejumlah petugas bersama unsur terkait menata lapak semi permanen yang berdiri di atas trotoar dan saluran drainase guna mengembalikan fungsi fasilitas umum.
Tercatat sebanyak tujuh lapak penjual kambing ditertibkan. Lapak-lapak tersebut diketahui telah beroperasi cukup lama, bahkan sejak sekitar tahun 1978 atau kurang lebih 48 tahun lalu.
Camat Bontoala, Andi Akhmad Muhajir Arif, menjelaskan bahwa penertiban merupakan bagian dari upaya penataan kawasan agar trotoar dan drainase dapat digunakan sebagaimana mestinya oleh masyarakat.
“Total ada tujuh lapak yang kami tertibkan. Lokasinya berada di wilayah Kelurahan Bontoala,” ujarnya.
Keberadaan lapak tersebut dinilai mempersempit ruang publik, mengganggu fungsi trotoar dan drainase, serta berpotensi menimbulkan kemacetan, terutama pada jam-jam sibuk.
Ia menegaskan, proses penertiban tidak dilakukan secara mendadak. Pihak kecamatan telah melalui sejumlah tahapan, mulai dari pemberian peringatan tertulis hingga tiga kali, serta melakukan pendekatan persuasif secara intensif kepada para pedagang.
“Setelah seluruh tahapan dilalui, barulah dilakukan pembongkaran hari ini,” jelasnya.
Selama kegiatan berlangsung, situasi terpantau kondusif dan terkendali. Warga sekitar juga menyaksikan jalannya penertiban tanpa adanya gangguan berarti.
Melalui penataan ini, pemerintah berharap lingkungan di wilayah Bontoala dapat menjadi lebih tertib, aman, dan nyaman, sekaligus meminimalkan potensi genangan air akibat tersumbatnya saluran drainase.
