JURNALISTA.ID, MAKASSAR — Pelantikan Ketua RT dan RW se-Kota Makassar yang berlangsung di Tribun Lapangan Karebosi, Senin (29/12/2025), menjadi momentum penting bagi Muh. Rustam. Ketua KNPI Kecamatan Bontoala itu resmi dilantik sebagai Ketua RT Kelurahan Gaddong, Kecamatan Bontoala, menandai babak baru pengabdiannya di tingkat lingkungan.
Rustam bukan sosok baru dalam urusan pelayanan publik. Selain memimpin KNPI di tingkat kecamatan, ia juga merupakan mantan penyelenggara Pemilu, yang terbiasa bekerja dalam sistem, menjunjung disiplin, serta menjaga kepercayaan masyarakat. Pengalaman tersebut kini dibawanya ke ruang pengabdian yang lebih dekat dengan warga.
Usai pelantikan, Rustam menegaskan komitmennya untuk menjalankan peran Ketua RT secara profesional dengan mengedepankan kolaborasi. Ia menyebut, kehadirannya sebagai Ketua RT akan menjadi penghubung antara program pemerintah, kebutuhan warga, dan inisiatif kepemudaan KNPI.
“Sebagai Ketua RT, saya ingin memastikan program pemerintah dapat berjalan efektif di tingkat lingkungan. Di sisi lain, jaringan KNPI akan kami dorong untuk mendukung kegiatan sosial, kepemudaan, dan pemberdayaan warga agar selaras dengan arah pembangunan kota,” ujarnya.
Beberapa program yang akan menjadi fokus di antaranya penguatan partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan lingkungan, pembinaan kepemudaan berbasis RT, serta dukungan terhadap program kebersihan, ketertiban, dan kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan. Rustam menilai, RT memiliki peran strategis sebagai titik awal keberhasilan program pemerintah.
Pelantikan RT/RW se-Kota Makassar ini menjadi penegasan bahwa kepemimpinan di tingkat lingkungan membutuhkan figur yang memahami tata kelola, komunikasi sosial, serta mampu membangun sinergi lintas sektor. Dengan latar belakang kepemudaan dan pengalaman kepemiluan, Rustam diharapkan mampu menghadirkan pola kepemimpinan RT yang partisipatif dan sejalan dengan visi pembangunan Kota Makassar.
Dari ruang organisasi kepemudaan hingga pelayanan langsung kepada warga, Rustam menegaskan bahwa pengabdian tidak berhenti pada satu peran, melainkan terus berlanjut dalam bentuk tanggung jawab yang lebih luas dan nyata di tengah masyarakat.
