JURNALISTA.ID, MAKASSAR – Tahapan pemilihan ketua RT/RW se-Kota Makassar resmi dimulai. Wali Kota Makassar, Munafri Arifuddin, menegaskan agar masyarakat memilih sosok yang benar-benar mampu menjadi ujung tombak pelayanan di wilayahnya.
Pemilihan dijadwalkan berlangsung pada 3 Desember 2025, dan diharapkan berjalan demokratis tanpa menimbulkan gesekan antarwarga.
“Ketua RT/RW itu bukan cuma jabatan administratif, tapi bagian penting dari pemerintahan. Mereka yang memastikan program-program unggulan kota sampai ke masyarakat,” tegas Munafri, saat memimpin rapat koordinasi di Ruang Sipakatau, Balai Kota Makassar, Selasa (11/11/2025).
Appi—sapaan akrabnya—menekankan bahwa figur RT/RW ideal adalah tokoh masyarakat yang dikenal, punya visi, dan aktif menjalankan tugas-tugas sosial di lingkungannya.
“Yang kita butuhkan itu orang yang tahu warganya, bukan yang sekadar mau dapat posisi,” ujarnya mengingatkan.
Ia juga meminta lurah dan camat untuk membangun sinergi kuat dengan RT/RW terpilih agar program pemerintah kota bisa berjalan cepat dan tepat sasaran.
“Komunikasi antara lurah dan RT/RW harus sejalan. Kalau di bawah kuat, pelayanan ke warga juga maksimal,” kata Munafri.
Tak hanya soal pemilihan, Appi turut mengingatkan aparat kecamatan, kepolisian, TNI, hingga Satpol PP untuk menjaga keamanan selama proses berlangsung.
Menurutnya, pemilihan RT/RW juga merupakan ajang pembelajaran demokrasi di tingkat akar rumput.“Ini sebenarnya bagian dari pendidikan politik. Kita ingin menunjukkan bahwa demokrasi bisa berjalan dengan damai di tingkat masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Wali Kota juga mengingatkan agar lurah mampu mengelola dinamika sosial di wilayahnya. “Dalam pemilihan pasti ada pro dan kontra. Nah, di sinilah kemampuan lurah diuji untuk menjaga wilayahnya tetap kondusif,” ujarnya.
Di akhir arahannya, Munafri menyinggung soal kebersihan lingkungan jelang musim hujan. Ia meminta satgas kebersihan segera membersihkan saluran air yang tersumbat untuk mencegah banjir dan genangan.
“Saya sudah lihat mulai ada genangan di beberapa titik. Kalau cepat diintervensi, cepat juga hilang. Jadi, sambil jalan urus pemilihan RT/RW, kebersihan juga jangan ditinggalkan,” tutupnya.
