JURNALISTA.ID, MAKASSAR — Lurah Gaddong, Rahmawaty Mattayang, S.M., M.M., turun langsung memimpin kegiatan kerja bakti massal bersama warga dan Satgas kebersihan di Jalan Gunung Latimojong, Kecamatan Bontoala, Jumat (24/10/2025).
Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap tumpukan sampah liar yang selama ini menumpuk di bahu jalan dan menimbulkan bau tak sedap. Berkat kerja sama antara pihak kelurahan, Satgas, dan masyarakat, area yang sebelumnya kotor kini tampak bersih dan tertata rapi.
“Kami tidak ingin ada lagi titik-titik kumuh di wilayah Gaddong. Ini wujud komitmen bersama antara pemerintah dan warga untuk menjaga kebersihan serta mempercantik lorong,” ujar Rakhmawaty Mattayang di sela-sela kegiatan.
Pantauan di lapangan memperlihatkan kondisi sebelum pembersihan, di mana sampah plastik, sisa makanan, dan limbah rumah tangga berserakan di sepanjang trotoar.
Namun setelah kerja bakti dilakukan, kawasan tersebut berubah drastis—bebas dari sampah dan kembali nyaman untuk dilalui pejalan kaki.
Salah satu warga, Ermawati Salim, menyampaikan apresiasinya kepada lurah dan Satgas yang turun langsung.
“Kami bangga melihat Ibu Lurah ikut turun tangan. Sekarang area ini jauh lebih bersih dan enak dipandang. Semoga warga juga sadar untuk tidak lagi buang sampah sembarangan,” ucapnya.
Kegiatan ini melibatkan Satgas Kebersihan Kecamatan Bontoala, staf kelurahan, serta warga sekitar. Selain membersihkan sampah, tim juga memangkas rumput liar dan menata ulang bagian trotoar yang rusak ringan.
Lurah Rakhmawaty berharap, upaya ini tidak berhenti pada kegiatan sesaat. “Kami ingin membangun kesadaran kolektif. Kebersihan bukan hanya tanggung jawab petugas, tapi tanggung jawab kita semua,” tegasnya.
Kegiatan kerja bakti ini merupakan bagian dari program Gerakan Jumat Bersih yang terus digalakkan oleh Pemerintah Kota Makassar di bawah kepemimpinan Wali Kota Munafri Arifuddin.
