JURNALISTA.ID, MAKASSAR — Sejumlah Warga Tamalanrea yang tergabung dalam Gerakan Rakyat Menolak Lokasi PLTSa (GERAM PLTSa) menyuarakan keresahan terkait rencana pembangunan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Sampah (PLTSa) di Kota Makassar.
Mereka khawatir proyek tersebut dijalankan tanpa melibatkan pemerintah kota secara penuh dan tanpa kajian mendalam. Kekhawatiran itu muncul setelah adanya informasi mengenai aktivitas pihak pengembang di lapangan.
Warga mempertanyakan apakah pemerintah kota benar-benar terlibat dalam proses perizinan dan pengawasan proyek tersebut.
Menanggapi hal itu, Wali Kota Makassar, Munafri Arifuddin, menegaskan bahwa hingga saat ini tidak ada izin apa pun yang dikeluarkan Pemkot Makassar terkait proyek PLTSa.
“Tidak mungkin proyek ini bisa jalan tanpa surat rekomendasi dari pemerintah kota. Kami pastikan belum ada izin apa pun,” tegas Munafri.
Munafri juga memastikan bahwa pemerintah kota akan meninjau langsung dan mengevaluasi rencana proyek tersebut bersama Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup serta pihak PT SUS.
“Kami akan duduk bersama dengan semua pihak untuk memastikan semuanya jelas dan tidak ada yang merugikan masyarakat,” ujarnya.
Dengan penegasan ini, pemerintah berharap masyarakat tidak lagi resah dan dapat mempercayakan sepenuhnya proses pengambilan kebijakan kepada Pemkot Makassar.
